Subject: Power outage

Geez I was on the PC and my power went out....The battery has never held a charge so when the power went out a pop-up came up says my battery was low and I needed to replace it....I clicked ok and it went into hibernation....first time for that...LOLOL!!

I have a question....when you view something full screen so that nothing shows but what you are viewing, how do you get your desktop or smaller "window" back?? I'm very insecure about not seeing my desktop there...not sure why....LOL! Thanks!

There should be 3 boxes in the upper right hand corner of the page. The first box is to hold the page in your toolbar on the bottom of the screen to open up again later. the second box maximizes or minimizes the screen. Makes it smaller or larger. The third box closes the page. You also may have hit F11 by error. if you don't see any boxes then hit F11 to get it back to normal window.

I found that by mistake myself. Must have hit it instead of the backspace by error. The first time was a little nerve wracking. I just knew my fingers were in that area so I took a chance and hit F11 and got it back. I've since done that a few more times but now I know

Well, I finally got my new TV hooked up... Had to wait till I could find a couple people to get the old one off the table....hooked my webby right up....text is sure clear!! Will be neat to code I bet...

I did not even have to reprogram the remote or keyboard...my TV is the same brand as the old one....LOLOL!!

Webby almost looks like it does in the viewer....

When I got my HDTV I found the colors to be different. I still find it to be different from the PC. After a day or so my eyes started to hurt. Then I realized that I could tone down the brightness by turning ON this feature that saves electricity. It makes the picture darker but easier on the eyes. I was ready to bring my TV back until I found that feature. My TV is a sylvania. I don't care for the rectangular shape. Glad we can still use webby with it though.

So congratulations and good luck.

this code works with PC.. You can also embed the php url on an html page and it will show on pc and webby.

header('Content-type: application/x-shockwave-flash');
$myMovie->output("$swfname.swf");
//save swf with same name as filename
$swfname = basename(__FILE__,".php");
$movie->save("$swfname.swf");

It names the swf the same as the php filename.

This took some reading at IM. Now they can do gradients at IM studio too. Don't know if you can do a mantage at the studio though. You can use composite but they might be a lot of work to do a gradtable. Think I will play with the gradients some though and check it out. Here is the Distort tute.

That is the best tute lady!!! I've already posted it in several imging groups and it is on the links!!!

Are you talking about composite? Or is there some other way to do a montage at the studio? I tried using the clipboard but could not figure that out for a montage. Seems the clipboard only takes one image.

On the distort stuff I could not find the parameters for bilinear, etc. There is a section on it but it is all in fx math codes fx(i/w-1), etc. He said that he is not covering bilinear because it does the same as other functions. I did try plugging in some of the parameters for the other functions and got a couple of results that mainly mimic perspective...so I left it out.

I'm sure the imagers will come up with unique designs with those functions. I just wanted to get the numbers out there. I may do a set of command line scripts just to have them handy. Command line seems to work better than the studio as far as the virtual pixel goes. There is a 2 pixel (or so) gap at the studio with the backgrounds (except for Horizontal tile) which makes circles look like someone took a small sliver out of a piece of pie. Depends on your image whether it is noticeable or not. But it is not a big deal as there probably won't be a big demand for some of those backgrounds.

Under "effects" is a Mosaic button....that's what I was thinking of and I think you put the images in an unprotected directory, like for animating, and you put in the direcory including the end slash, it loads them all....but that might not be the same a montage?? Not sure...

Well I tried but failed to get anythinig to work. There is nothing under Effects. Under Transform there is a "Layers" button and on the bottom a layer method menu with mosaic on the menu. But I cannot get anything to work. I tried a directory of images...all I got was an animation. I tried the clipboard with 2 images, nothing working there. I searched google for a tute but only found unanswered questions in the forum from a couple of years ago.

and I got an email from him earlier today. And this is what he said about a new group:
With only four of us posting in the PHP NG I don't know if there is any interest in starting a PHP forum outside of webtv. The area for coding help at Zbox is readable to members only and I prefer an open forum so I would start a new one if you, Linda and Lila were interested. Until I got connected at home I would be posting much less. I would have to lug my books from home. Last time I looked, I had more on basic PHP than the university.
So let me know if your interested in a new php group.

I think that eventually we are all going to end up on a PC when webby crashes and burns, so if he can get a head start, I'm sure people will migrate over there. And I can always get in with my PC.

Sure I will post there. I was just wondering where he is going to create the forum... Is he setting one up on his own server? Or is he going to a place that already has forums set up?

What about you? Are you thinking of getting a PC, or are you holding out until the end. Lila I guess is looking for a PC and was asking about getting into Zbox and Arbor with it, etc. It is the same as webby. With all the Digital phone services now too, I think a lot of people will be leaving webby. If the webTV2 was more popular and did what the first webTV did I think more people would go with that, but since it doesn't, a lot of people are going with a PC instead.

I assumed you were already registered since you were listed as the moderator. I don't really like the idea of the dance away forum for a php forum. The site was extremely slow, and this was with my PC. He may need to find an alternative if he wants scripting people to stick around. I guess too that you cannot view the forum unless you are a member. Other forums will let you view them, you just can't post. I assume he has limited access to a PC so he can't get his e-mail all the time. Better off waiting until things get settled down. There aren't any urgent scripts that need posting right now.

Oh, there is another possibility. If she clicks a link within the same second of visiting a page, my filters will think that she is a bot. I do that to block some of the bogus registrations. I bot will hit the profile.php page 10 times in 2 or 3 seconds when trying to make a bogus registration.

I updated the reflect script, got the perspective to work. Saved both the straight version and the distorted versions to the temp directory and discarded the rest.

If you put the fixfilename cgi script in the same directory as all the images you made on the fly, you will get a clickable image. It still does not show the size of the image in the directory but if you then beam that image through and change the filename with a jpg extension on the end it will be like a regular image.

I tried to transload and save the Beatnik but it is not working. there is a .js file in there. Can we use .js on our server? The .js file I transloaded was all scrunched script and I had to add a lot of new lines to it, but I may not have gotten them all. Maybe you can look at it. Which site blew you off line? Mine blew me off line once, but it didn't with a clear cache. WebWizards did not blow me off line. If your mouse is over the piano and you hit a button on your keyboard it will play a sound. Supposedly you can record a song/midi. If you click on the layout it will bring a picture of a keyboard on the screen and shows all the different sounds you can make with it.

There are a lot of links missing on that banner maker. A lot of javascript. Seems the only thing I can do is try to rewrite it in php and make a bare bones example. If I got that working then maybe add some links to examples. He had some kind of font viewer with a lot of javascript which I guess shows each font. I already have a sample page of fonts but not a JS tool that pulls up samples of each one individually. I would not use all those fonts anyway. Too many. Just some basic ones. Not sure I can get it working but I can try. Looks like you have a choice of writing on an image or using a blank background. Maybe I can try to get the blank working first.

Glad that Bob is excited. We will have to inundate him with scripts when he gets here. I hope the Professor comes over too. I will send my payment by this weekend. They looked so dark on PC that I took them to IM to do a blend composite to lighten them up a bit, so they may appear different on webTV...then again it could be my eyes. I have just been diagnosed with macular degeneration this week at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. I have to go back later this month to get tested for magnifying lenses and telescopic lenses. The doctor said that I won't go blind because I still have my peripheral vision but it could get worse later in life. I had to give up my driver's license last month. I have to eat greens every day to slow its progression. No one else in the family has it on either side. Makes me think it is all tied in with my stomach allergies, being unable to digest so many foods. Still not sure how I will do with the greens. Anyway I will stay on line as long as is humanly possible. Hopefully I will be able to work until retirement age. I'm 59 now. The doctor says that seeing is not what causes it, but they do not know what causes it. He thinks malnutrition or dehydration play a role. Anyway, have not been on much this week. Been going through so many medical tests, I swear I never want to see another doctor. Been doing a lot of walking too, taking the subway to different office visits and hospitals. My cousin is taking me food shopping and I'm stocking up so I do not hav eto do so often. I can get things nearby if I run out. Also got my bicycle out. Have not done that in a while, but you never forget.

The page looks great on WebTV but for some reason the handy gif does not show on PC. The page 2 needs a slash in the link. http://

http:/www.handyguy.org/07PAGES/PAGE2.html

I know it is webTV only stuff. In the beginning I did not have a home page either. I started one and have been adding to that ever since. I have a webTV only link. Also offer the webTV viewer for PC users. Feel free to link to this page if you want.

http://www.lingolinda.com/tutes/webTVviewer.html

You may find new things to do and don't be afraid of using up space, you'll never use it all. Collect all the images you want and make some new ones with command line IM. It is fun once you get into it. And we can help you with questions on general coding.

I don't know if you have a PC or not. When coding gradtables, the PC will see the background color only so that is something to keep in mind if you are trying to make something compatible with both.

The counter too does not show on PC. It will show with embed src, but it is not important for PC viewers to see...and it does not look as nice on PC.

Here is another visitor script in php. there are 3 files in the zip. Just keep them in the same directory as your page. You do nothing to user.dat and counter2.dat. the visitor.php page is the one that you embed in your script. Those are just files where the script keeps track of number of visitors and number of hits.

http://www.lingolinda.com/grads06/2007/pals/visitor.zip

You can view the counter at the bottom of this page.

http://www.lingolinda.com/grads06/2007/pals/index.php

You can manipulate the script as you like as far as the table around the counter goes. The instructions for its use are commented in the visitor.php page at the bottom.

I'm OK now,

Suffered 2 broken ribs after an EGD procedure a month ago. Had to have x-rays and a bone scan. The radioactive dye knocked me out for a week or so. I've buried myself in my Key4song site. Got some really neat forms put toegether for the next tanden newsletter, but still putting the final touches on it.

Been in the NG a few times but did not post much. Got 2 more eye exams this week, but hopefully I will be through with appointments for a while. Spent today with my niece and nephew. Had a very pleasant day. Now I'm goint to my key4song site to do more stuff, I keep thinking of stuff to do as I go along.

I had to give up on eating grains. Pathologic edema...which they say was the cause of the broken ribs, one on each side. Got too bloated from the grains that they tell me I'm not allergic to. Recently I realized that I have a bad reaction to vegetable oil. Now I'm wondering if it was the oil and not the grains that bloated me, because bread is made with oil as well as pie crust, etc. I think I will wait a while before I test that theory out. I'm just starting to feel like my old self..old sick self still but not as bad as it was while eating the grains.

Still getting a lot more exercise without the car and I think it is making me a little more energetic. Takes more time out of my day to do shopping, etc, but may be better for me in the long run.

Thanks for your concern. I was really depressed a couple of weeks ago, until I found something to keep my mind occupied.

The ribs are feeling much better now. I have an appointment with my doctor in September. He wanted me to come in right away for more tests..but I just could not face any more tests at that moment. Guess I will deal with that at my next appoiintment. Maybe by then though I will be better being off the grains for a month...and I will be done with my eye exams for another year too. I may get a second opinion on my stomach though...or at least the results of my studies. Hard to believe they cannot find anything, and I have all these problems. My primary doctor keeps looking for rare diseases, but he is not a gastroenterologist. At least he keeps trying.

I did see a gastroenterologist...in fact I've seen 3 of them. I just have not gone to the Massachusetts Gerneral Hospital yet. It is supposed to be one of the top hospitals in the country, and they treat people from all over the world. I know this from doing medical transcription for them for about 10 years. They come from all over just to go to this hospital..Greece, Arabia, Italy, etc. I've been to all the local hospitals, so they do not have access to my records. I would have to get copies of them. My primary will make suggestions of diseases to look for to the GI doctors...such as Whipple's disease and who knows what...but they all test negative.

We have a tool that you can use to search all the files on your server? Do you have or want that one? It comes in handy when you can't recall where you put a file. If you need it let me know.

HOW TO PASSWORD PROTECT A DIRECTORY================== PASSWORD PROTECT 1. Have a folder you want to password protect. 2. login to usermin:: YOUR USERNAME MAIL 3. goto Applications ->Click on:: Protected Directories 4. Click on:: "Add protection for a new directory" 5. The directory path is: public_html/FOLDER 6. For the authentication realm, DOMAIN.COM. 7. Save 8. Click on "Add new user" for what you just created:: Enter username and password. 9. SAVE

Did you unzip it? I just checked my file and it is working fine. It shows columns of 2 images, but you can change that by changing this line.

# Size of image
define( "SIZE" , 200 ) ;
# Number of columns
define( "COLNUM" , 2 ) ;

For example change 200 to 100 and change 2 to 5 and you will have 5 columns that are 100 pixels wide

The music is actually on my webTV e-mail box. Way back when I began webTV I got a hotmail account that could be connected with my webTV via pop mail. They no longer do this, but those who already have it can keep it. I have not even tried to use the PC signature box. All I can say is to search Google to see if there are any ideas about a sig on PC. The PC does not show my gradpal in my sig as it does on webby, though. Only shows the link and the music. I think I can put a picture in hotmail if I wanted to, but I don't really want to as there is no way to shut it off except for trying to erase it, and that does not always work it seems.

When you are inside a file, there are buttons across the bottom that say Save, Save and Continue, Save and View, etc. If you hit save and view it will save the changes and also show you the page as it appears with the changes. Hit the back button to go back to the script. This is the button I use whenever I am doing a gradtable, so I can check it out as I go along, and not have to return to the directory every time.

Do not use the Save and Continue button, it does not work properly. It is supposed to save your changes without showing you the page or leaving the page, but it does not always save the changes.

The Save button will save the changes and the file and send you back to the directory. So you can use that button for a small change that you don't need to check out and just get back to the directory. And also use that button when you are done with a script...when you are done with the save and view sequences. Hit the save button and this will save the script and send you back to your directory. The save and view button also saves the script in its final form but does not send you back to the directory. If the server ever goes down while you are on that page, your changes will still be permanently saved.

Hope that makes sense.

Well maybe I can configure the script so you can add a link to the comment. The way it is now, if you send a URL in the comments, it thinks that it was uploaded and tries to get it out of my uploads directory, so you get a dead link even with a live one. Maybe just disable it. I have not looked at what is in the scripts yet. Maybe later.

Maybe you will find one you like working with better than the old one. I am getting used to the PC now. Finding ways to do things like webby. I found out I can harvest URL by dropping them into the Google search bar and not hitting the search arrow. Then just copy them all at once when I'm done...such as when I want to post several URLs in an e-mail. I think you would like the PC better if you had a cable connection instead of the phone..but it does cost a lot more. That's one area where the price does not seem to be coming down. You can get deals sometimes for a year if you buy other services with it, but then you still have to pay for those other services. I need the cable connection for work. My last job used to pay for it, but this job does not. Still I get a higher salary at this job so it all works out.

I read in one of the NG that somebody was tired of the webTV only codes...and wanted more PC stuff, since most people now have both. If webby did eventually die out you would have an extra $24.95 to put on a cable connection...You say you will quit but somehow I can't see that happening. 8-)

OK, here's one of my scripts....has my tree on it for a function if you can.... I've annotated in several places.... You can place things off the screen and then use moveTo to whiz them into place like a shooting star flying across.....or the star here just to show you how you do it with coordinates...moveTo(x,y)

Things move a certain number of pixels on the x axis and same for y axis per frame, so you'll need frame loops to move it along.......for a straight move use only x etc...but this is move(x,y) Sound adds the KB big time so keep them fairly short....be sure have your sound on for it to run...the gif and mp3 are included....

From: Linda fasciano

Yes, it makes sense. I just wanted a couple of shape examples. You can change the functions too. Some shapes are all the same no mater what you do such as circles and lines. It seemed easier to have 2 lines of code for them instead of 10 lines (or whatever)...especially if you wanted a bunch of different colors. When I started doing the Ming, or trying to make one of my own about a month ago, I found myself having to go back and figure out the codes for each shape. Now I can just check the functions for the codes. All in one place.

I forgot about that script. I could have used it for my Ming project. Now I will. 8-) Joe you don't need to add my name, as all I did was the form. Sally is the one who really should take credit for the script.

PS....I have spent the last two days downloading an mp3 package to make mp3's on my PC, and figuring out how to use it. Command line on the PC.....Yikes! But the instructions were really good.

I managed to get this mp3 (208.6 kb)

http://www.lingolinda.com/music/MP3/Jackinthebox.mp3

down to 77 kb

http://www.lingolinda.com/music/MP3/PopGoesWeaselLoFi.mp3

and it still sounds ok.

The tool converts wavs to mp3's and it also converts mp3's to lower kb to use in flash/ming movies.

So if any of you need an mp3, just send me the URL of any file. Even Midi files.

I got the tutorial from Tom Boutell....He is the guy who wrote the GD language so I knew I could trust the info...and the download was from SourceForge. Called Audacity. But there is another package called Lame that works with Audacity to get the bytes down further and make it compatible with Ming/Flash. WooHoo...as they say.

The values are the original location of each piece. I realized afterwards that I did not have to put those values in for the rotation etc, but also realized that it would not hurt as it is the original location. If a piece is located at (40, 50) to begin with and I wanted to move it I know I can change those numbers or just put (40+$i, 50), etc. I am just learning this stuff.

Maybe should make up a single page with a small example of all the functions...

Do you know how to do functions? They are easy.

I'll make up a small page for you on functions to see if it clicks in your head. Once you see it, you will understand how easy it is. I admit they looked stange to me at first and even when I finally figured out how to use them, I still blanked out every time I came across a function in the php manual. But if you see something that you already know it might click.

I can't do it....I can not draw without having the real start and end numbers....just having a 50pixel hline is not enough....I need the coordinates on both ends to connect curves and such....to draw something....

And it just seems like a lot more work....a line but with functions you have to have all kinds of lines....h,v,d....and with the other shapes it seems like you're just plopping things on the page, not really drawing them....

I'll try again later....LOLOL!

It is all what you are accustomed to. For the coordinates it would depend on where you placed it on the page. If you had a 50 pixel hline and placed it at 50,50, then the coordinate would be 50,50 for the start and 100, 50 for the end.

The thing you cannot do with the functions is build a shape and fill it with a color. If you draw a shape the coding way then you can make another function for that shape, if it is one you might use a lot.

I wrote out a small function for a line in Ming. I checked out IM but could not get functions to work. GD did work but you can only call it once for some reason, probably needs a global. So I stuck with Ming since I've had good luck with that..Php code functions work fairly good but there is little use for them that I can think of. Maybe I'll come up with an idea to do a gradtable function...8-)

Speaking of Jerry...remember that BeatNik that I tried to save off of his site? I can't get into it on webby without it blowing me off line but I can get into it with the webTV viewer...so I started recording the sounds. I still have to convert those to MP3. They are just snippets of sounds. I'll send them over when I've got them done.

I also got more fonts that might be fun to use with Ming which I still want to convert. I drew the eyes too on my swf. Just seems that the fonts would be easier to move...than 3 or 4 lines of code....But I don't know if the fonts can be filled in with color. Still they may be useful for some swf's.

I know you can move all the lines in ming...sometimes there seems to be a lot of lines for one little object. My hat on the jack in the box had 4 different lines of code to move. Hard to get them all moving in synch, but it is possible with some practice.

Here is the first group of fonts I have converted. I have not checked them all out yet to see if they work. I noticed that when I was converting them, the computer would name them whatever the original name was including spaces in the name. I had to rename those to remove the spaces but have not tested them to see if they still work. We need a font viewer for Ming now. You can use a function inside your ming scripts without having to use an include file. You call them the same way. You can change the color and scale etc. for each glyph you call.

I made a font viewer for the FDB fonts. You have to replace the font name inside the script.

The Hair font is in the zip package. There is also a font I missed in terms of the name having a space, which you'll have to fix..

I saw that, have same script, but it seems that that is used for drawing more than one glyph next to another and it does not work with the function. I've tried seferal ways in and out of the function but it won't work. It is just when skewing them that the placement gets crazy.

I wonder how the server reads the Ming functions. If we use php byte code for gradtables and source them, it comes out as HTML. I wonder what the ming would look like if you could source it.

The sound recorder only makes wav files and they are only 1 minute long, otherwise you get a break in the music recorded if you go beyond a minute. You might think about downloading Audacity yourself. I think you would like it. It is very easy to use. But you can always send stuff over to me. I don't mind recording and converting for you. Plus I can make it so it is compatible with Ming. I guess not all of them are campatible with Ming. It has to be at a rate of 22.50 for Ming to read it with no complaints.

Over time I got used to it. I seem to just go on webby now to check the Newsgroups or to check page compatibility. Just keep the info for some day when webby is much too obsolete and you have to get used to the pc or quit. I can't imagine you quitting though. I will probably stay with webby to the end but I don't use it as much now. Plus I don't really like the way it looks with the digital TV as much as it did with the analog. I have to keep adjusting the screen size and it is a nuisance. I need it widescreen to read it but then parts of the page is off the screen.

I don't bother with those tutes anymore. I just use the PC and if I come across something I want to know, I will look that up. I have a zip program downloaded on my PC but I do think that the PC I have now has a built in zip program. I know how to make directories and files on the PC now, but again I do all that on the server...I just need to know where I have stored files I have converted so they can be uploaded to the server. You can use the Beatnik with the webTV viewer

http://key4song.lingolinda.com/Beatnik/Beatnik.html

I don't know exactly how it works. Try pressing a couple of keys for sounds. Change the instrument. You will see a radio button with a 0 or 1 and a number. That refers to the instrument sound...

You can view this page with the PC while viewing the Beatnik main page with the webTV viewer.

http://key4song.lingolinda.com/Beatnik/instruments.html

I don't know if you can record this with the built in recorder. I have been using the Audacity tool to record.

I wonder if Tom or some other javascript guru can make it pc compatible. It is really all run by Javascript. It is not much use to webTV users as it blows them off line and even if they were on line I don't know how they would record the sounds.

The recorder built into the Beatnik tool does not work, at least for providing you with a wav or some other file. It is supposed to output a script that you embed in a page but it does not work. Still you can record and play back the sound while using beatnik...you just can't get a file. You can however record that playback with some other tool on the PC. Even with the PC though if you have been on line for a long time and doing a lot of stuff the webTV viewer will stop responding. You have to close it and reopen it...but it does give you plenty of time to play. I also hit the reload button from time to time on the webTV viewer, but I don't know if that helps.

Anyway, check it out sometime when you are on PC. This may all sound confusing but it is a handy tool.

I like the new laptop....It has a row of buttons down the left side of the keyboard that are for Home, Mail, Search, Docs etc...I think there are six....

It's a lot faster than the old one too....

The guy that sold it to me said the old one still has value so he's going to fix it and clean it up and sell it and we'll split the money....That works for me.....anything I get for it will be a plus...

ALSO....we now have the Clear network!

http://clear.com

They do wireless internet and will ship the card and there's no activation fee....Cricket charges $99 plus $40 mon.....and Clear is $30 a month....

So if I get the one plan for $9.95 then get Clear....that's $40 a month...only ten dollars more than I pay now.....and I'll have high speed and be able to use webby and the laptop at the same time...!

I'm thinking on it...LOL!

Looks good. The high speed service will make it a better experience. You can download stuff in seconds and move around faster....and get more stuff done in less time. You will also be more inclined to get on line if it is faster and if you can use both at the same time...I do that from time to time. Pull up a page on webby, go on PC to fix it and reload it in webby.

Wonderful!!! I love the last one Make a Smile.....looks like a vampire!! It's just great!!!

I'm so glad to see you doing all that with ming....!! I never did anything in the way of tutes and stuff because I could not get anyone interested in it and it seemed a waste of time! But you've given me new looks at it!! Thanks!

A lot of the stuff I'm doing with Ming started mostly because I could not remember the codes. I have to keep going back to see how I did something before, so it is good to have a place where I can easily get codes.

Every once in a while I add a function-free code to one of my links on the ming functions page. That helps me learn, plus it is easy to grab code from there and just change the numbers.

It must have been lonely for you out there alone...LOL.

You should have seen that last one with different eyes...really looked like a vampire.

I've tried to figure out sprites too, but have not had much luck yet.

Oh, thankyou!!!! I love that song.....someone made me a christmas page my first year on the web and that song was on it.....

Unfortunately it's now too big so won't do the swf.....I might give it a quick try but if it don't play on webby well, I won't bother..

I can make the song shorter if it is too big for webby.

Have you tried to use remove in anything?

The manual says it is experimental and may or may not work....

I thought it worked at one time but the last things I've tried have not worked....I just wondered....That would be such a help without having to cover things up or take them off the screen and then uncover and bring back on the screen....

If you mean Ming, yes I have tried to remove. It seems to work sometimes and not at other times. If I have a function in a loop in order to change the color, it did not work. If the function was not in a loop, then it worked.

$myMovie->remove($item);

If you have the fonts from Dave, I can sent you copies of files that I used to organize mine...as seen on the link on my home page. It is not the best system but I do refer to it from time to time. I have not done any organizing of the new fdb fonts that I made from ttf yet though. I may try to put them in a drop down menu type list.

I'm not keeping a lot.....and as far as fonts themselves I'll pick about six....I only keep things I like....Dings too....just some good ones....that I'll use....never been a font freak....

I have a lot of fdb files I probably will never use. I kept them because they were fdb files...but now I don't have to since I can convert ttf files. I may do a clean out myself.
